But your child's symptoms aren't improving.
There’s a level of care between weekly therapy and hospitalization that most parents don’t know exists — and it’s designed specifically for children. If you checked even one box, you’re not alone. Your child, aged 4-12, may benefit from our pediatric intensive outpatient treatment.
At Inspire Kids, we understand that most Cuyahoga County parents don't realize there's an option between weekly therapy (1 hour/week) and full hospitalization for young children. Our Pediatric Intensive Outpatient Program (Intensive After School Program) provides the intensive support your child needs while keeping them home with family every night and in school. Your child comes home every evening. Elementary school attendance continues — we schedule around your child's school day. Your child receives 9-12 hours of therapy per week, rather than just 1. Treatment typically lasts 4-8 weeks, and you're deeply involved as a partner in helping your child succeed.
Led by Clinical Director Amber, who holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University, our experienced mental health professionals deliver exceptional, evidence-based care tailored to young children and their families. We use proven, age-appropriate treatment methods including play therapy, CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed approaches designed specifically for elementary school-age children — and we collaborate directly with your child's school and support systems throughout the community.
"The InspireKids team shows exceptional dedication and professionalism in providing mental health services. Their compassionate approach and clinical expertise make them an invaluable asset to the community."
Your child attends 3-5 sessions per week in a structured, nurturing environment.
Each session includes small-group activities where children connect with peers, individual counseling with dedicated Behavioral Health Therapists who specialize in childhood development, and age-appropriate skills training in managing big feelings, calming down when upset, communicating needs, and getting along with others.
Family therapy sessions keep you involved as the most important part of your child's treatment, and psychiatry services are available for medication support if needed.
Program Schedule: Sessions take place five days per week, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, providing children with consistent structure and support throughout the day.
The outcome:
Your child learns real coping skills they can use at home, at elementary school, and with friends — preparing them for success in school and beyond.
